Conservative radio host Rush Limbaugh woke from a coma Saturday, eager to vote in the 2012 presidential election.
"I have to go vote for Romney," he insisted to the staff of St. Mary's Medical Center in West Palm Beach, Florida.
No one had the heart to tell him that President Barack Obama had won the national election Tuesday night, as well as Florida's 29 electoral votes just a few hours before.
"What are you all looking at me like that for?" asked Limbaugh.
He had been admitted to St. Mary's on October 28 after mixing Percocets, Stiphinol and Jones Scotch.
"The last thing I remember was worrying about Hurricane Sandy," said Limbaugh. "Then they said it was going to skip Florida and I was like, 'phew, that could have affected the election.'"
Limbaugh's fourth wife, Kathryn, suspects she'll have to be the one who tells him the Democrats won the presidency.
"I might wait 'til next week to tell Rush they picked up some Senate seats," she said.
